COMMISSION REGULATION (EU) amending Regulation (EU) No 68/2013 on the Catalogue of feed materials
On 1 July 2022 the European Commission adopted Regulation 2022/4474 which replaces the Annex to Regulation (EU) No 68/2013 on the catalogue of feed materials.
The new annex details the products and co-products obtained by fermentation and includes information reflecting different fermentation products. Additionally, feed materials labeled before the amendments to this Regulation may be placed on the market until stocks are depleted. Feed additives such as sodium citrates, potassium citrates, sorbitol, mannitol, calcium hydroxide, xylitol, ammonium lactate and ammonium acetate may be placed on the market and be utilized as feed materials until 30 May 2028.
Regulation C/2022/4474 will enter into force on the twentieth day following its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union and will be binding and applicable to all Member States.
